Alicia Hendricks Howard, TCRG
Alicia started taking tap and ballet lessons at age three. Alicia studied Irish dance since the age of five with Margaret and Ellen Pike in Yonkers, NY and with Patsy McLoughlin and Jimmy Early in the Bronx, NY. Alicia competed in numerous local Feisana, regional (Oireachtas) and North American National competitions throughout her many years competing. She also competed in Ceili (team) competitions throughout her dancing career. In 1986, Alicia participated in the All-World Championships held in Limerick, Ireland. In addition to competition, she also performed at many venues, including Radio City Music Hall, as well as at many nursing homes and senior centers. Alicia went on to receive her T.C.R.G. (Teachers Certificate Rinci Gaelacha) in 1996. Alicia is married and has 5 children, and is best known as a soccer Mom when she isn't at dancing events.
Michelle McCormick Vornhagen, Associate Teacher
Michelle McCormick Vornhagen started dancing at the age of fifteen with the Sheahan-Gormley School of Irish Dance. While attending college at SUNY-ESF, she danced competitively with Drumcliffe Irish Arts under the instruction of Michael Galvin, TCRG, and Eddie Murphy, ADCRG. When she is not at dance events, Michelle enjoys spending time traveling with her daughter, son and husband.
